Cambio suites, an all new development of 53 units of freehold apartments, will be opening its on-site sales gallery for preview this weekend at 28 Lim Tua Tow Road.

About a year ago, the 198 unit Casa Cambio, a condominium development across the street, was launched and sold out in just 26 days by the same developer, Urban Lofts Pte Ltd.

Said ACT Managing Director James Toh, “We didn’t realize the genuine, pent-up demand in the area for private freehold condo units, until we launched Casa Cambio last year. To our surprise, people were looking for larger units, and the penthouses at Casa Cambio were the first to sell. People like the freehold status in a landed neighbourhood, elevated off the main road, and yet so convenient.”

Once sleepy Lim Tua Tow road is now a hive of activity as Casa Cambio is under construction. At the corner of Serangoon Road, the eateries and shops are also thriving. Trendy shops and offices (one of them the firm of young architects designing Cambio Suites, “a_collective”) have set up in the neighbourhood.

Urban Lofts is a joint venture between the ACT Group, Nobel Design, and Pinnacle Assets, which focuses on well-designed, freehold apartments in prime suburban locations. In the case of the Cambio developments, a key draw is the walking distance to the Nex Mall and Serangoon Interchange. “Cambio” in fact, means “to exchange” in Italian.

Priced between $1060 psf to over $1600 psf, the units range in size from 2 bedroom units with 506 sqft, to a four bedroom penthouse with 1744 sq ft. Most of the units are 2 and 3 bedrooms which are affordably priced from $809, 000 and up.
